Length of course: Half Day

Aim:

The aim is to ergonomically assess each individuals workplace/work station, to ensure correct posture and usage of equipment. This will help to reduce or prevent long-term and short-term physical problems for the user.

Some of the assessment content:

	Discuss with the line manager any problems already identified
	Check equipment for suitability
	Check the users posture
	Check the history of any physical problems
	Teach the users correct positioning/posture
	The need for regular breaks
	The dangers of glare and eye problems
	A basic overview of the musculo skeletal workings of the body

The length of the assessment depends on how many delegates there are.
